Unsaid Things

The hopes and fears of endless years
Buried beneath the painful stings
The stings and burns of unsaid things

The infinite number of dreams and wishes
All cast as a target that everyone misses
Away from the joy of little things
Embedded in mounds of unsaid things

A spark, and an idea grows
But is shunned away for none to know
The spark from which imagination swings
Buried forever in unsaid things

A dark, well-kept and priceless secret
Hidden away by those who keep it
Away from the pain exposure brings
Protected by layers of unsaid things

Dreams and hopes, wishes and fears
Covered with dust of endless years
Well protected, safe and warm
Away from the pain of any harm
Away from the joy that all things bring
Protected forever by unsaid things.

A Wish

A penny in a wishing well
A wish upon a star
Blowing out the cake's candles
Hasn't worked so far.

A wish for you to come to me
I feel wont ever come true.
I gave up finally on ever having you.
But this feeling of emptiness
Without you by my side
My heart is filled with sadness
And feelings I can't hide.

Promises

Never know the answers
Can't see wrong from right
The light of pride your showing
Is beaming all too bright

I can see through your armor
You covered up so well
There's nothing you can hide now
No one else for you to tell

You've left so many promises
But nothing you can say
Can ever make me let you know
What makes me act this way

You can show me all your presents
The prizes you have won
But nothing you can show me
Makes my promise all undone

If you walk away now
All you'll leave behind
Are endless lists of promises
I'll be keeping till I die

The Scar You Left Upon My Heart

Ripped out all my happy thoughts
Tore them all apart
And didn't even notice
The scar you left upon my heart

You hide away your feelings
For no one else to see
But someday you'll have to show them
Cuz there's no one else but me

Time is getting closer
You cant run away
No where else to turn to
I guess you'll have to stay

If you're gonna learn to face me
After all that you have done
I'm sure you'll find it harder
When you're the only one

You took away my hopes and dreams
You tore them all apart
And didn't even notice
The scar you left upon my heart

Show Me

Show me a girl,
and I'll show you a woman
Give me a chance,
and I'll give you a new life
Let me have a moment,
I'll let you have forever
But show me a child,
and I'll show you yourself

Lend me a seed,
and I'll give you a flower
Show me a drop,
and I'll show you a flood
Give me horrible,
and I'll give you perfect
But let me see you,
I don't think I can help

Sitting here all alone
Sitting here by the phone
Sitting here for that call
Sitting here for you

I'd sit all day,

Sometimes I even sit with fright
Sitting here not knowing where you are

Sitting here gazing out the window
Sitting here waiting for you to show
Sitting here wishing you were too

Sometimes I wonder where you are
How close to me, how very far
I wonder if you think of me

Sitting here with no other choice

Just to find out if you're okay

Your Life, Your Poem
Poems are what you want them to be
We have to think of our lives as poems
They are what you want them to be
No one else can decide for you
It's your poem and you write it
And whenever you want you can make it rhyme Not be on time
Whatever you want, it's up to you
It's your life, your poem

Stay On The Trail
I want to stay but sometimes i must go
which choice is right i do not know

Following the trails inside my heart
then reaching the point when trails must part

The trail is twisting and winding all through
each and every day getting better with you

Everyone wonders if their trail is true
if they can follow it for what to do

Maybe the trail will get you lost or get old
i think this time my trail has lead me to gold

Got Eyes?
Looking out the window,
at the road beyond
Lying in a meadow,
watching the world around
Staring at the people,
as they pass by
Gazing at the stars
as the moon is getting high
Seeing everything i see
looking back at me
So many things to watch
just open your eyes and see

I Can't

I can't get over the way you look.
The way you smell, the way you cook.
When you laugh, I feel complete.
With you, my lady, all things are replete.

I know, sometimes, I can get weird.
But thats only because I'm afeared.
If you would just give me a chance,
We could sing and laugh and dance.

But somethings missing, I don't know.
If we knew, we could give it a go.
If we could just try.
I know we won't die.

I'm sick of waiting for the time
To have you finally, make you mine.
I just want once, to be with you.
Alone, and together, we can
"Do the Dew."

The Guy Of My Dreams

I heard the song you sing
In my ear it rings
Then I dream about me and you
And if only it were true
I dont know how this happened to me
But, in my dream,
I do know your touch set me free
I imagined us, embraced together at dawn
Yet, I know when I wake up you will be gone
I wish endlessly I could dream
In those few hours you'd want me too, it would seem
For me you would be the only one
You shine more handsomely, brighter then the warm sun
My heart beats twice as faster
For you are my hearts master
I am down to earth so I have to say it is lust
I'd do almost anything for you if I must
If life gets too cold or hot
I'll always be here for you to hold

Ten Things I Hate About You

I hate the way you talk to me-
and the way you cut your hair.

I hate the way you drive my car,
I hate it when you stare.

I hate your big dumb combat boots,
and the way you read my mind.

I hate you so much it makes me sick,
it even makes me rhyme.

I hate when you make me laugh,
even worse when you make me cry.

I hate it when you're not around,
and the fact you didn't call.

But I hate they way I don't hate you,
Not even close, Not a little bit,
Not even at all.
